Larapinta Trail Campsite, West McDonnell National Park, NT
Working for a current operator who is in dialogue with Traditional Owners, Troppo have developed a series of temporary camp structures developed to add amenity to high-end walking tours along the Larapinta Trail in Central Australia’s West McDonnell National Park.
The camp is devised as a grouping of sleeping platforms, composting toilets and ‘bush showers’. These elements will link to a pavilion tent and a container fitted out to yield a camp kitchen and welcome verandah: not a bad spot to return to after a day’s walk, to relax and (believe it or not) fine dine. The facility is supported by rainwater collection, and solar hot water and power.
The project was delivered through trop_pods, our joint-venture with Oscar Building.
